Who stole the show?
Australia Day 2023. A contingent made up of friends, club members from Bushwalking & Bike Riding; Mudgee Rotary and U3A attended the MWRC Australia Day awards ceremony to support our favourite nominee; Elly Rands.
Rylstone Showground proved an amazing area to have this ceremony – Rylstone/Kandos Rotary had an Aussie brekkie on hand and an amazing coffee van to compliment the day.
The Ambassador Catriona Rowntree a truly inspiration lady – was left thinking she was on a movie set. Explanation needed; a currawong made its presence known selecting friend & foe to perch on! One table missing the stars on the Australia Flag tablecloth.
Elly was nominated in the Volunteer Services Award and was surprised and humbled to be nominated. The overall recipient in this category went to Martin & Priscilla Weyermann (Wildlife rehabilators at Wires).
