The club held its End of Year Function Sunday 18 December 2022. Lawson Park made for a great late afternoon setting. This activity attracted almost 60 members.
After the initial meet & greet a group photo was undertaken. Many laughs later we captured almost all of the participants. A brief presentation followed.
President Victoria Mcadam presented Life Member(s) Andrea Sauerbier, Eunice Marskell, Dot Robinson, John Hather and Dick Orth, with a small present. (Some unable to be in attendance however deliveries made to them Monday). The Management and Committee members received recognition for their continued efforts with planning and club involvement-recipients; Victoria Mcadam, Bill Kempton, Elly Rands, Gretha Kroll, and Glen Hill, Eric Caswell, Feroz Wani, Karen Riley & Johanna (Joby) Mitchell.
Special mention re: Elly Rands: Nominated Mid-Western Regional Council Australia Day Awards for ‘Volunteer Services Award’.
Club Awards for 2022: “Bushwalker/Participant/Leader – for 2022” – Eric Caswell “Bike Rider/Participant/Leader- for 2022”- Lynda Byrne “Education Leader for 2022” – Glen Hill “Mascot/Participant” for 2022 – Bonnie A special mention to Kim Vidler (Kandos/Rylstone) Bike Rider Leader/Participant.
The “Odd” bunch awards (President’s choice awards) went to; John Mitchell, Eric Caswell, Joe Doyle, Mary Helend and Elly Rands. Bill Kempton presented Elly Rands, Joby Mitchell, Bob Riley with a “thank you” gift for being support/ground crew for the ‘Light to Light walk’. Flowers by Trish Kempton were an added bonus. The members that participated in the ‘Three Capes Walk’ Tasmania also gave recognition to admin support to Elly Rands and Joby Mitchell.
We also would like to send out a “Get Well Soon & Speedy Recovery” to those that were unwell: (Covid). Also pictured above is Elizabeth & Brian we wish them well in their new adventure.
