EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Six Foot Track – 15th April – 18th April 2022 (Easter and during school holidays).
Begins at the Explorers’ Tree near Katoomba and descends into Nellie’s Glen and down through the Megalong Valley to Cox’s River. (Hanging Bridge). Then over the Black Range and down Binoomea Ridge to Jenolan Caves. The 45km track is usually walked in four days with 3 nights camping. Stay overnight on the 14th prior to start date in Katoomba so you can leave at 7.00am in the morning. Bus’s run from Jenolan Caves back to Katoomba.
If there are walkers who would like the experience to walk the Six Foot Track but feel hesitant as camping is involved, the need to carry camping equipment and food we might have a solution with assistant 4wd back-up to carry your camping gear from camp to camp.
More information will be made available when we have a positive response. Of course the walk is subject to the track being accessible due to the recent rain and storms.
