Sunday 19 August 2018. It was a rather chilly morning when we arrived at start of the walk, compounded by the strong wind blowing cold air. We soon realised that we seemed to have been standing on what appeared to be a channel between two hills where we parked the cars. Consequently we moved walked further up the fire trail to a pleasant location with a spot of sunshine – there we had morning tea and Eric opened the map of the area.
The walk was gentle through some amazing large rock formations which looked like a big cruise ship. We stopped to watch some birds and observe the sound of bell birds.
Upon arriving at the bottom of Mt Coricudge, some of us found a shelter (from cold wind) behind a large boulder and had lunch, while some ventured out to the peak – bush bashing – as Eric place some pink markers as guide.
At the top, panorama of areas further a field worth the effort.
