Dates – October 3 – 6 (During School Holidays and October Long Weekend) Camping and walking – Members participating have now all registered.
Saturday: The walk begins at the Explorers’ Tree near Katoomba and descends into Nellie’s Glen and down through the Megalong Valley to Cox’s River, campground for the first night. Then over the Black Range and down Binoomea Ridge to Jenolan Caves. Alum & Black range campgrounds for night 2 & 3. The Six Foot Track was originally a bridle trail from Katoomba to the Jenolan Caves, and is now a walking trail of approx 45km track and is usually walked in four days/ 3 nights.
Friday 2nd – leaving for Katoomba and stay overnight or Saturday 3rd – Start of the walk from the Explorers Tree at 7.00am. Tuesday6th – finish of the walk at Jenolan Caves, to enjoy lunch.
