Ten keen bushwalkers raised their hands to find their way through the magnificent multiple banksia flowers, after a well planned follow the leader in a convoy of vehicles from Lithgow via the Glow Worm tunnel road and via Mount Cameron Trail to a car park area and barrier. The walk then consisted of a short downhill stroll to a grassy camp area surrounded by cliff tops for a lunch on a log!!

With 1 hour to explore the ‘other side’ and for lunch to settle 1/2 the group climbed the mountain and down again before following a track to the mouth of the canyon. Several members did explore further with John by climbing up ‘two flights’ of rock/rope to be greeted by waterfalls. Others were happy to dive into John’s backpack for his lolly supply.

The walk continued back on the pass track and back up to the car park for a quick cuppa, then back along the flat plateau to survey the area from a different perspective. All arrived home as the sun faded on a perfect day.
Note: This track has nil or minimal signage – only at the carpark.
